| Tim Hamlett's Hong Kong | South China Morning Post The racing fraternity got into a fine lather the other week over the case of a jockey who, having begun a jail sentence in Hong Kong and completed it in his native land, Australia, was (horror!) allowed to work again in Australia in defiance of the wishes of Hong Kong horse honchos. I do not, as they say, have a horse in this race. It seems odd that someone who has served a prison sentence should be barred from working by a board of amateurs after his release, but then a lot of things about the Jockey Club are odd.
